Honda Aircraft to invest $55.7 million at Greensboro plant

Honda Aircraft Co., maker of the HondaJet light aircraft, has announced it will invest $55.7 million in its Greensboro, N.C., facilities for production of the new HondaJet 2600 model. The project is expected to create 300 jobs.

This new longer-range model is designed to be the world’s first light jet capable of nonstop flight across the U.S. It can accommodate up to 11 occupants and also is designed for single-pilot operation.
